In order to share with the community during the holy month of Ramadan, the Tangerang Regency Government (Pemkab) held a Ramadan Bazaar which was held at the Tangerang Regency Multipurpose Building, Tigaraksa District, Wednesday (03/19/2025).
The Ramadan Bazaar was opened by the Tangerang Regent Moch. Maesyal Rasyid. Present were the Deputy Regent of Tangerang Intan Nurul Hikmah and the Chairperson of the Tangerang Regency PKK, Mrs. Risma Maesyal Rasyid.
Around 7,250 basic food packages were provided, consisting of various types of basic goods, such as rice (5 kg and 3 kg), cooking oil, flour, sugar, and eggs.
Tangerang Regent Moch Maesyal Rasyid said that this activity aims to provide convenience and ease the burden on the community for Eid needs. This bazaar presents 76 stands, most of which offer cheap basic necessities.
People can buy basic food packages for IDR 50,000, even though the actual capital costs are around IDR 120,000 to IDR 130,000.
“This means that people can enjoy discounts of up to 75% from the normal price.
Hopefully this will be useful and ease the burden on our community,” explained Regent Maesyal Rasyid.
He continued, this Ramadan Bazaar is not only about buying basic food at affordable prices, but also a real step to improve food security in Tangerang Regency.
Although this activity only lasts for one day, its positive impact is expected to continue to be felt, especially in terms of supporting the local economy and ensuring sufficient food supplies for the community.
The Tangerang Regency Government plans to hold a cheap market regularly every three months in each sub-district, collaborating with government partners, cooperatives and MSMEs.
“Earlier I had a dialogue with the community, they hoped that this event would not only be held once a year. But I said, Eid is also only held once a year.
However, in the future we will hold a cheap market every three months in every sub-district,” he said.
According to him, this policy aims to facilitate public access to basic necessities at more affordable prices.
In addition, with the regular cheap market, it is hoped that inflation in Tangerang Regency can be suppressed, and people’s purchasing power can increase.
This Ramadan Bazaar also reflects the spirit of mutual cooperation between the local government, sub-district heads, and other related parties.
He expressed his gratitude to all parties who participated. “I would like to thank all parties who participated in this event.
Hopefully this activity is useful and can ease the burden on the community,” he concluded.
