Ananda HS’s BPJS is also active at the Ilanur Clinic, the primary health care facility, and his parents are also registered as recipients.

Tangerang, POSINTERNASIONAL.COM.

The Deputy Regent of Tangerang, Intan Nurul Hikmah, visited HS, a 9-year-old child with Cerebral Palsy and Organic Brain Syndrome (OBS) in Tobat Village, RT 03 RW 02, Sentul Jaya, Balaraja District, (February 19, 2026).

On this occasion, Deputy Regent Intan explained that her visit was to follow up on reports submitted by residents and to observe the condition of the patient and his family firsthand.

She also provided encouragement and held a direct dialogue regarding further medical interventions as needed.

“Today, along with the Balaraja Sub-district Head, the Village Head, and the medical team, I personally visited the home of 9-year-old Ananda HS.

In addition to visiting and providing encouragement to HS and his family, we also wanted to ensure that HS received free medical services and was proactive in providing follow-up care,” said Deputy Regent Intan.

She also emphasized that the government, through the Balaraja Community Health Center, has been taking proactive steps since November 2025.

The medical team provided education and encouragement to refer HS to Balaraja Regional Hospital.

However, the family (Mr. Suheli and Mrs. Masitoh) expressed reservations about taking their child to the hospital.

HS’s parents (Mr. Suheli and Mrs. Masitoh) expressed their objections for various reasons, including the fact that they cannot leave their jobs.

“The government isn’t ignoring the situation, but if the parents don’t want it, we can’t force them.

Now, if financial constraints are the issue, the local government has made treatment free.

Ananda HS’s BPJS is also active at the Ilanur Clinic, the primary health care facility, and his parents are also registered as recipients of direct cash assistance (BLT) from the Social Services Agency,” he emphasized.

According to him, medical treatment requires synergy and the family’s approval.

Therefore, he also instructed the sub-district head, village head, and Balaraja Community Health Center to continue monitoring Ananda HS’s health and providing the medical services he needs.

“Transportation issues should no longer exist. There’s a standby car available in the village, so there’s no need to incur transportation costs.

Just talk to the village head, and he’ll take you to the hospital and back home,” he added.

Furthermore, he has instructed the village midwife and the head of the Balaraja Community Health Center to take several concrete steps.

This includes treating HS, who is currently experiencing a fever, and regularly monitoring his nutritional progress.

“The village midwife and the head of the community health center (Puskesmas) provided initial treatment, administering medication to manage the patient’s fever.

I also persuaded and explained to HS’s parents that the patient should be immediately taken to Balaraja Regional Hospital or transferred to Tangerang Regency Hospital, which has more comprehensive equipment and pediatricians,” he said.

On that occasion, Deputy Regent Intan also provided basic food supplies and milk.

He hopes that through this visit, HS’s parents will have a better understanding of the more intensive and comprehensive follow-up treatment.
