TANGERANG, POSINTERNASIONAL.COM.
The Tangerang Regency Regional Road Management Agency (DBMSDA) is Accelerating Repairs to 11 Damaged Roads, Allocating IDR 10.66 Billion in Budget.
The heavy rainfall that has recently inundated Tangerang Regency has caused asphalt damage on several roads.
This condition not only hampers public mobility but also triggers traffic accidents.
Responding to public complaints, the Tangerang Regency Government (Pemkab), through the Public Works and Water Resources Agency (DBMSDA), is now expediting the repair process.
The repairs were carried out on Monday (March 2, 2026).
The regional government’s response is divided into two phases: routine repairs, which are currently underway, and permanent reconstruction, which is scheduled to begin at the end of March.
The Head of the Tangerang Regency DBMSDA Technical Implementation Unit (UPT V), Ferry Achmad Effendi, explained that routine repairs are currently focused on road sections with a damage level of less than 20 percent.
Which are considered crucial because they hinder public activities. One of the areas currently under construction is in the Cilongok Istiqlaliyah area, Pasar Kemis.
“The road sections that have been patched are Jatiuwung-Pasar Kemis, Pasar Kemis-Rajeg, Cadas-Sepatan, and Cadas Kukun,” he said.
Furthermore, Ferry issued a special appeal to the public and business owners along the roadside.
He asked them not to indiscriminately concrete or cement shopfronts, which could cause waterlogging and erode and damage the asphalt layer.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Tangerang Regency Regional Water Resources Management Agency (DBMSDA), H. Iwan Firmansah Effendi, also expressed his concern over accidents involving motorists due to potholes, particularly along the Pasar Kemis to Rajeg area.
Iwan confirmed that, in addition to routine patching, which has been underway since early 2026, the Tangerang Regency Government will also soon implement permanent road reconstruction.
This comprehensive repair process will be executed after the tender process is completed at the end of March 2026.
“The road is 3.4 kilometers long, with nearly 1.1 kilometers of severe damage.
Eleven damaged areas will be repaired with a budget allocation of 10.66 billion rupiah,” he said.
With this funding allocation, it is hoped that road access in Tangerang Regency will be smooth and safe for the public to travel again.
