Closing the Ngider Sub-district MSMEs Event at Pasar Kemis, Tangerang Regent Encourages Village Economic Strengthening. Tangerang Regent Moch. Maesyal Rasyid.
officially closed the Ngider Sub-district MSMEs event held at the Firman Utina Field Parking Lot in Pasar Kemis Sub-district on Sunday (February 15, 2026).
In his remarks, Regent Maesyal Rasyid emphasized that, in accordance with President Prabowo’s directive, economic growth and development must begin in villages and sub-districts.
Therefore, he hopes the Ngider Sub-district MSMEs event will encourage village economic strengthening. Furthermore, through this event,
Small business owners can continue to operate their businesses, create informal jobs, and contribute to regional economic growth.
“The economic cycle is from, by, and for the people of Pasar Kemis. This is to open businesses, create jobs, and foster economic growth from the bottom up.
In accordance with the Asta Cita of our President, Mr. Prabowo, that the economy must grow and develop from the villages,” said Regent Maesyal Rasyid.
He said that the Ngider MSME activity also serves as a strategic platform to introduce, market, and develop local products from Tangerang Regency, particularly from Pasar Kemis and Rajeg Districts.
“There are some from Rajeg District and the surrounding areas. The goal is to continue developing all culinary-related activities.
These local products can be seen, tasted, and enjoyed by the people of Tangerang Regency themselves,” he explained.
He continued, saying that the Tangerang Regency Government, through the Cooperatives and Micro Enterprises Office (Diskum), continues to facilitate the marketing of quality local products from Tangerang Regency
up to the international level. One way is through MSME outlets at the airport, which have opened access to international markets.
“Thank God, yesterday when I asked at the airport, it turned out that many buyers from abroad were purchasing our MSME products. Hopefully, some of our products can be marketed there too.
The packaging must be good, as we’ve been trained by the Cooperatives Office, including on processing and packaging,” he added.
According to data from the Tangerang Regency General Affairs Office, the number of MSMEs continues to increase significantly.
In 2024, there were 61,000 MSMEs, and by the end of December 2025, this number had increased to 78,000.
“This proves that the people of Tangerang Regency are becoming more productive and their incomes are also improving,” he said.
On that occasion, the Tangerang Regency Government also held the Affordable Food Movement (GPM) to help the community ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, where people can
purchase basic food packages for Rp 41,000 per package, down from the normal price of around Rp 80,000.
“At the Ngider District MSMEs, we are also holding a bazaar of affordable basic necessities. Hopefully, this can ease the burden on the community, especially as Ramadan approaches,” he said.
At the end of his remarks, the Regent, on behalf of himself and the Tangerang Regency Government, conveyed his congratulations for the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijri to the entire community.
“On behalf of the Regional Government, we wish you a happy Ramadan fasting month in 2026.
May we all be blessed with good health and be able to carry out our worship peacefully and comfortably, and receive rewards from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. Amen,” he concluded.
