Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Nusron Wahid attended the Meeting for the Acceleration of Disaster Management of the Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki Eruption, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), at the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Graha Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (12/11/2024).

The meeting was led directly by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Met after the meeting, Minister Nusron said that the authority of the Ministry of ATR/BPN is to ensure the availability of land for the relocation of disaster victims.

“My interest is to prepare land for the relocation of refugees, it has been prepared, 50 hectares,” he said.

To accelerate the process of disaster management of the Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki eruption, Minister Nusron will soon re-verify the land that is planned to be used for relocation.

This is to ensure that the land is clean and clear.

On this 50-hectare land, the government will build 1,100 houses for the relocation of victims of the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki.

This was stated by the Minister of Housing and Residential Areas, Maruarar Sirait in a Press Conference after the Meeting on Accelerating Disaster Management of the Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki Eruption.

“The houses that are ready are 1,100, in good condition, those that are ready, those that will be running soon, we estimate that in about eight or nine days they will arrive at the location,” said Maruarar Sirait.

Present at the meeting were the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, a number of Ministers and Heads of the Red and White Cabinet Institutions, the Chief of the Indonesian National Police, and the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces.
