Prosecutor Asks Judge to Reject Charlie Chandra’s Defense Counsel’s Plea.

The Public Prosecutor (JPU) has asked the panel of judges to reject the defense memorandum or plea submitted by defendant Charlie Chandra’s defense counsel in the alleged document forgery case.

The prosecutor made this statement while reading his reply at the Tangerang Special Class 1A District Court on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

“We request the panel of judges to examine and adjudicate this case. This reply complements the indictment we read at the previous hearing.

We also reject the defense presented by Charlie Chandra, the son of Sumita Chandra,” asserted Public Prosecutor Martin Josen Saputra.

Martin continued, stating that the prosecutor also requested the panel of judges to adjudicate this case based on the criminal charges previously read.

“We ask the panel of judges to adjudicate this case based on the criminal charges previously read,” he explained.

It is known that the Public Prosecutor (JPU) previously demanded a five-year prison sentence for defendant Charlie Chandra at the Tangerang Class 1 District Court on Tuesday (August 5, 2025).

The JPU assessed that the defendant’s actions had been legally and convincingly proven.

In reading the indictment, the JPU stated that Charlie Chandra was proven to have knowingly committed the crime of falsifying documents.
