The Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) of Tangerang Regency in collaboration with Alfamart Group (Alfamart, Lawson and Aksesmu) held an entrepreneurship training entitled Retail Management Training for Prospective Great Shop Owners aimed at the Indonesian Journalists Family Association (IKWI), Friday, June 13, 2025.
This event aims to improve the skills and knowledge of IKWI members in the business world, as well as encourage them to become entrepreneurs.
The training, which took place in the PWI Tangerang Regency Hall, was attended by dozens of participants who enthusiastically participated in various sessions presented by experts in the field of entrepreneurship.
In his remarks, the Head of PWI Tangerang Regency stated the importance of this training as a strategic step to empower journalists and their families to be economically independent.
“With this training, we hope that IKWI members can develop their potential and create sustainable business opportunities,” he said.
Meanwhile, Hadi Susianto, Alfamart Branch Manager added that they are committed to supporting the development of entrepreneurship in the community, especially among journalists.
The training material covers managing retail and grocery stalls guided by Ronal from Aksesmu.
He shared his family’s personal experience starting a stall business with a capital of only IDR 300 thousand which has continued to grow until now.
Ronal said that how to manage retail and grocery stalls effectively starts from product knowledge, stock management to maximizing sales.
“Managing a stall is not just about selling goods, but also about how we can manage stock well so that there is no excess or shortage.
This is the key to maintaining business continuity,” he said.
In addition, this training also emphasizes the importance of cost efficiency and orderly administration. “Every entrepreneur must be able to manage finances well.
Without proper management, the business we run can be at risk of loss,” said Ronal.
Customer service is also the main focus of this training. Participants are taught how to provide satisfactory service so that customers feel appreciated and come back.
“Good service is a long-term investment. Satisfied customers will become ambassadors for our business,” he added.
No less important, the use of technology in business management is also in the spotlight.
In today’s digital era, utilizing applications to help manage a business is a must. “With technology, we can be more efficient in managing a business.
There are many applications that can help us in managing stock, finance, and even marketing,” explained Ronal.
With comprehensive and practical materials, this training is expected to equip IKWI members with the skills needed to become successful entrepreneurs.
“We believe that with the right knowledge and skills, IKWI members can create sustainable business opportunities and contribute to the local economy,” concluded Sri Mulyo.
This training is not just a transfer of knowledge, but also an initial step for participants to realize their dreams of becoming independent and successful entrepreneurs.
This event is expected to not only provide knowledge, but also build networks between IKWI members and other business actors.
Thus, it is hoped that many new entrepreneurs will be born from journalist families who can contribute to the local economy.
