Regent Inaugurates IPA in Gembong Village, Balaraja District

Tangerang Regent Moch Maesyal Rasyid inaugurated the Clean Water Treatment Plant (IPA) in Gembong Village, Balaraja District. The inauguration was marked by the signing of an inscription and ribbon cutting by Regent Maesyal Rasyid, Wednesday (5/28/25)

On that occasion, Regent Maesyal Rasyid said that the construction of the Clean Water Treatment Plant (IPA) in Gembong Village was a concrete step to answer the community’s need for safe, healthy, and sustainable clean water.

The inaugurated IPA is not just a physical project, but a manifestation of our commitment to equitable and sustainable public services.

“The Tangerang Regency Government continues to be committed to realizing equitable basic infrastructure services, including the provision of clean water for all residents, especially in rural areas,” said Regent Maesyal

He continued, the vision of Tangerang Regency development is “To create a prosperous and competitive Tangerang Regency community”. Prosperous means that people live in decent, healthy conditions, and have their basic needs met.

While competitive means that people have the ability to be independent, manage resources efficiently, and actively participate in village and regional development.

“The existence of this IPA is a real manifestation of both, improving the standard of living while opening up space for community independence in sustainable clean water management,” he explained

He hopes that the IPA facility will be able to meet the clean water needs of local residents, while encouraging an increase in the quality of life and productivity of the community.

For that, he also asked the community to maintain and maintain the IPA facilities that were built through mutual cooperation and sustainability so that their benefits can be optimal and long-lasting.

“I ask the community, villages, BUMDes and cooperatives to work together to maintain, care for and decide how to operate it so that its use is more optimal and long-term,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Tangerang Regency Housing, Settlement and Cemetery Service, Bambang Saptho Nurtjahja, explained that the IPA land area is around 20 x 8 meters.

with a processing machine capacity of 5 liters/second or 18,000 liters/hour. This IPA can accommodate around 24,000 liters of clean water.

“The raw water for this IPA is taken directly from the Cidurian River and then processed with a machine that can produce 5 liters/second of clean water.

This IPA can accommodate around 24,000 liters of clean water,” explained Bambang.

He added that the clean water produced can be directly distributed to the community. His party will also build other IPAs in villages that still have difficulty getting clean water.

“Currently, we are only testing around 20 connections to homes. In the future, we will also build other IPAs in villages that still have difficulty getting clean water.
