The Tangerang Regency Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) sealed a billiard venue in Kaduagung Village, Sunday (9/3/2025) early morning.

This sealing was carried out in connection with a violation of the Tangerang Regent’s Circular (SE) No. 2 of 2025, which regulates the operation of entertainment venues during the holy month of Ramadan 1446H/2025 AD.

In the Tangerang Regent’s SE, it is expressly prohibited from operating billiard venues during the holy month of Ramadan throughout Tangerang Regency.

This regulation aims to maintain the solemnity of community worship and create a conducive atmosphere in the midst of the social environment.

However, the sealed business premises continued to operate even though the prohibition had been issued.

The Head of Tangerang Regency Satpol PP, Agus Suryana, said that before carrying out the sealing, his party had carried out comprehensive socialization to business owners.

His party has also given a warning to the business premises concerned to comply with the rules set by the local government.

“We have provided socialization and warnings to all business actors since before entering the holy month of Ramadan.

So, there is no reason for them not to comply with this rule. Therefore, we are taking firm action in the form of sealing so that the business premises are no longer operating during the holy month of Ramadan,” said Agus.

Furthermore, Agus added that the existence of billiard businesses that continue to operate during the holy month of Ramadan has the potential to disrupt the solemnity of community worship.

In addition, business premises like this are also considered to be able to trigger disturbances to public order and security if they are allowed to continue operating without strict supervision.

The Tangerang Regency Satpol PP ensures that it will continue to carry out intensive patrols and supervision during the holy month of Ramadan in order to take action against business premises that still dare to violate the rules.

This step is taken so that the rules that have been set are truly complied with by all business actors in Tangerang Regency.

In addition, his party also appealed to all business actors, especially those engaged in the entertainment sector, to comply with the regulations set by the local government.

With compliance from all parties, it is hoped that the atmosphere of Ramadan in Tangerang Regency can run more calmly, comfortably, and conducively.

“We hope that all business owners can work together well in complying with this regulation.

Compliance with regulations is not only in the interests of the government, but also to maintain order, comfort, and tranquility of the community while carrying out worship in the holy month of Ramadan,” he concluded.
