The Tangerang Regency Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) held a socialization and education activity on Regional Regulations (Perda) for Elementary School (SD) students at the Tangerang Regency Satpol PP Office Meeting Hall, Monday (11/11/2024).
This activity was attended by students from Insan Robbani Elementary School.
The Head of Tangerang Regency Satpol PP, Drs. H. Agus Suryana, explained that the purpose of this activity was to provide an early understanding to children about the importance of obeying regulations and legal order.
As well as introducing the role of Satpol PP in maintaining public order and public safety.
“We received a visit from Insan Robbani Elementary School, and the students were given education about the importance of obeying Regional Regulations (Perda),” said Agus.
In this activity, students were introduced to various regional regulations covering environmental cleanliness, smoking bans in school areas, and school rules.
Satpol PP also explained their duties in enforcing regulations, conducting public order patrols, and handle violations that disturb public order.
“Students are given an understanding that the duties of Satpol PP include more than just controlling traders.
They are also responsible for security, socialization, and other tasks in maintaining order,” added Agus.
The Satpol PP officers also explained that they were trained in basic self-defense and handling anti-riot situations to ensure safety and the ability to deal with emergency situations that have the potential to threaten public order.
“With simple language and concrete examples, the officers provide an understanding that our duties also involve protecting the community from various potential disturbances,” said Agus.
This activity was enthusiastically welcomed by the students who asked many questions about the role of Satpol PP and the training they underwent.
As part of the event, Satpol PP gave a short demonstration of several basic self-defense techniques, which further increased familiarity and interaction with the students.
The Principal of Insan Robbani, Sepdwiana Wijayanti, appreciated this activity and hoped that similar socializations could continue to be held in the future.
“With this education, we hope that children can understand the importance of the role of Satpol PP in everyday life and help maintain order in their respective environments,” said Sepdwiana.
The event ended with a short patrol around the Tangerang Regency Government Center, where students were invited to tour the offices and take pictures together as souvenirs.
