Tangerang Regent Moch Maesyal Rasyid attended the fourth anniversary of the Qod Faaza Lil Firdaus Islamic Boarding School, held in Suradita, Cisauk District, Tangerang Regency, on Sunday (July 20, 2025).
The Regent expressed his appreciation for the role of Islamic boarding schools in educating the nation through religious and general education, particularly the Qod Faaza Lil Firdaus Islamic Boarding School in Cisauk.
“This anniversary is a moment to commemorate the founding of the foundation, which has made a significant contribution to the education of our children, particularly in Islamic religious education,” said Regent Maesyal.
According to him, integrating religious education with general education will ensure students are more focused and well-cared for.
“I am confident that general education remains an important part of creating an intelligent and noble generation,” he said.
He emphasized that knowledge can be acquired through two approaches: through educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) as formal platforms, and also through social life in the community.
“Students must be able to socialize, build relationships, and communicate. This is an important skill for facing the outside world and achieving their dreams,” he added.
The Regent also prayed for the caretakers of the Islamic boarding school, Ustaz Purwanto and Ustaz Ariful, to be blessed with good health, safety, and sustenance, which will be beneficial in fostering and developing the Islamic boarding school.
“May the Qod Faaza Lil Firdaus Islamic Boarding School continue to progress and become a bridge in producing the next generation who are not only academically intelligent but also possess a strong foundation of faith and morals,” he concluded.
