The Free Nutritious Meal Public Kitchen (MBG) in Sodong Village, Tigaraksa District, Tangerang Regency, Banten was officially launched on Saturday (02/15/2025).
The launch of the MBG public kitchen was marked by a ribbon cutting by the Acting Regent of Tangerang Andi Ony, Tangerang Police Chief Kombespol Bakhtiar Joko Mujiono and a number of other government officials along with the person in charge of the public kitchen, Haji Oji.
Haji Oji said that this public kitchen is for cooking free nutritious meals (MBG) for seven public elementary schools in the Tigaraksa District, Tangerang Regency.
Because procedurally it has been determined by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).
“This public kitchen is a partner of BGN. Where, we have been given responsibility for seven (7) public elementary schools (SD) with 3,400 students,” said Haji Oji to the media crew when launching his public kitchen.
He said, this public kitchen will be operated on Monday, February 17, 2025 for the Free Nutritious Meal program from President Prabowo.
“If Monday has started, it is estimated that cooking will start on Sunday night,” he said.
In the same place, the Secretary of the Tangerang Regency Education Office (Sekdis), H. Agus Supriatna appreciated the existence of a free nutritious meal public kitchen in Sodong Tigaraksa owned by Haji Oji.
According to him, this public kitchen has met national standards.
“This (public kitchen) is extraordinary, it is national standard, very clean and hygienic.
From BGN there are also special personnel to monitor each of these kitchens. There are also some from the health center,” he said.
H. Agus hopes that the existence of this public kitchen can improve the nutrition of school children in Tangerang Regency, especially in Tigaraksa District.
“The location of this public kitchen is also good because it is one of the ways to support government programs.
Hopefully, the nutrition of children in Tigaraksa will improve with the existence of this public kitchen,” he concluded.
