The Darullughah Wadda’wah (Dalwa) Islamic Boarding School in Pasuruan, which was established in 1991, finally has a certificate for waqf land, Sunday (16/03).
The electronic certificate was handed over directly at the Islamic boarding school by the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Nusron Wahid, on Friday (14/03/2025).
As the caretaker and heir of the Dalwa Islamic Boarding School, Al Habib Segaf Baharun stated that the waqf certificate is very important to avoid heir conflicts in the future.
“We know that heir conflicts can be a big problem if not handled properly.
With this waqf certificate, we can avoid this problem and ensure that our waqf land is safe and secure,” said Al Habib Segaf Baharun.
He explained that the process of managing certified waqf can be an example for other heirs.
“We hope that the waqf certificates we receive can inspire others to do the same,” added Al Habib Segaf Baharun.
Moreover, according to Al Habib Segaf Baharun, the process of making certificates for waqf land is easy and does not take a long time.
“Alhamdulillah, with the enthusiasm of the Minister, we have also been facilitated and the process of making certificates has been fast,” he said.
Currently, the Ministry of ATR/BPN continues to accelerate the certification of waqf land as a form of commitment to implementing the National Movement for Certification of Houses of Worship and Islamic Boarding Schools.
This is realized through the Complete Systematic Land Registration Program (PTSL). Based on data from the Ministry of Religion’s Waqf Information System.
As of February 2025, 265,050 plots have been recorded for waqf land registration and 8,201 plots for registration of land for houses of worship.
After handing over the certificates of waqf land at the Dalwa Pasuruan Islamic Boarding School, on the same day Minister Nusron also handed over 19 electronic waqf land certificates at the Tebu Ireng Islamic Boarding School.
The certificates are intended for Islamic boarding schools, educational foundations, prayer rooms, and mosques located in Jombang and Pasuruan Regencies.
