The Tangerang Regency Government (Pemkab) is urging young people, the nation’s future generation, to emulate the fighting spirit and sacrifice of the heroes who defended the homeland.

This was conveyed at the 2025 Tangerang Regency-level Heroes’ Day ceremony at the Raden Arya Wangsakara Heroes’ Cemetery (TMP), Pagedangan District, Monday (11/10/25).

Tangerang Regent Moch Maesyal Rasyid, as the ceremony inspector, delivered a profound message about the meaning of the struggle and sacrifice of the nation’s heroes.

The struggle and sacrifice of these heroes should not only be remembered as history but should also serve as examples and inspiration for future generations to continue the struggle for development.

“Independence was born from patience, courage, honesty, togetherness, and sincerity. The spirit of the heroes must not stop there.

As a historical memory, it must continue to inspire us in our daily lives, especially for the nation’s future generations,” said Regent Maesyal.

Regent Maesyal also highlighted the sincerity of the freedom fighters after gaining independence. They did not compete for positions or seek recompense, but instead returned to dedicate themselves to the people.

“That is where true honor lies: not in the position they hold, but in the benefits they leave behind,” he said.

Furthermore, he reminded them that today’s struggles no longer involve weapons, but rather through knowledge, empathy, and devotion.

However, their spirit remains the same: defending the weak, fighting for justice, and ensuring that no one in the nation is left behind by the tide of progress.

This spirit of struggle and dedication must also be maintained in realizing President Prabowo Subianto’s national vision and mission, Asta Cita, which emphasizes the importance of strengthening national resilience.

“Today, let us give thanks and pledge that this independence will not be in vain.

He also urged all residents of Tangerang Regency to continue keeping the flame of the heroes’ struggle alive.
