Tangerang, posinternasional.com.

The Tangerang Regency Government (Pemkab) together with the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia (Kejagung RI) held a monitoring of the implementation of the Jaksa Garda Desa (Jaga Desa) Program.

This activity is in the context of supervision and assistance for village governance and financial management.

This activity was attended directly by the Regent of Tangerang Moch. Maesyal Rasyid and the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence (Jamintel) of the AGO, Reda Mantovani, as well as village heads throughout Tangerang Regency.

In his remarks, Regent Maesyal Rasyid emphasized that the Jaga Desa Program is present not merely as a law enforcement tool.

But more than that, it is a preventive and educational approach to foster better village governance.

This program focuses on legal assistance, supervision of village fund management, and increasing legal awareness of the community at the village level.

“This program is a real step to help villages in managing finances in an orderly and responsible manner.

I ask village heads to truly understand the regulations and mechanisms for using village funds,” said the Regent in the Wareng Meeting Room of the Tangerang Regency Secretariat Building, Monday (2/28/25).

According to the Regent, the Jaga Desa program has been running even though there are still many obstacles and challenges that must continue to be improved.

This monitoring is an important momentum to create open and honest dialogue between villages, local governments, and the prosecutor’s office.

He also emphasized the importance of making the law a guideline, not something to be afraid of.

“Let’s make the law a guiding sign, so that services to the community run well.

Village funds must really be used to accelerate development and eradicate poverty in villages,” he said.

According to him, the Jaga Desa Program is not only an effort to enforce the law, but also a form of collaboration to foster and strengthen village capacity.

The local government and the prosecutor’s office are committed to continuing to support villages in building an open, transparent, and service-oriented government system.

“Let’s maintain this spirit of collaboration. Villages are the main pillars of regional development.

Their success is a reflection of the success of all of us,” he said.

Meanwhile, Jamintel, Reda Manthovani said that supervision of village government is now strengthened through a digital system.

The Prosecutor’s Office requested that village heads routinely and transparently fill in data and reports through the online system that has been provided, such as the Gajari and Ramalini applications.

“We want to be able to directly monitor developments and problems in the village.

For example, what percentage of village funds have been used, what are the obstacles, and how is the absorption.

From there we can help from the start if there is a problem,” said Reda.

He explained that with this system, the Prosecutor’s Office can match village financial reports with field data.

If there are any discrepancies or indications of irregularities, corrective steps can be taken immediately, without having to wait for the problem to escalate.

In addition, village heads are also given space to report if there are prosecutors who actually interfere or abuse their authority.

“We also open a direct reporting channel to the Attorney General’s Office, so that village heads do not need to be afraid if there are individuals at the local level who deviate.

This is all for the sake of creating clean and accountable governance,” he added.

In this meeting it was also emphasized that of the total 246 villages in Tangerang Regency, all of them already have access to follow the reporting system.

This is expected to be an example of the implementation of effective and efficient technology-based supervision.
