Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) has again revealed a case of land crime committed by a land mafia. In a press conference held at the West Java Regional Police Headquarters, Friday (18/10/2024).
He revealed the case in Bandung City and Regency which has resulted in losses, both for the community and the state with a total value of IDR 3.65 trillion.
“First, we save the community from injustice.
Second, prevent the development of an uncertain situation.
The impact is not only economic, but also social and we can save the potential losses of the state and the community which are large, more than IDR 36 trillion because this location (land) is very strategic which if developed has a high value,” said Minister AHY.
He explained that the case in Dago Elos, Bandung City, West Java Province was carried out with the modus operandi of forging letters and/or entering false information into an Authentic Deed.
The location of the land object in question is part of the metropolitan area and one of the strategic areas, so that the total loss that was successfully saved in this case was IDR 3,603,335,000,000.
Another case occurred in Bandung Regency with the modus operandi of forging letters, fraud, and embezzlement of housing development permit processing services.
The location of the land object will be built with 264 housing units, so the total loss that can be saved in this case is IDR 51,391,343,500.
The eradication of land mafia continues to be carried out in various regions by the Ministry of ATR/BPN through the Anti-Land Mafia Task Force in collaboration with the Police, Prosecutor’s Office, and local governments (Pemda), as well as the active role of the community.
“For us, every single rupiah must be accounted for, every single rupiah must be prevented from committing crimes that cause losses to the community and the state, so this is also our concern,” said the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN.
On the same occasion, the West Java Police Chief, Akhmad Wiyagus, expressed the West Java Police’s commitment to take firm action against any violation of the law in the land sector without discrimination.
“In order to maintain justice, certainty, and benefits for the entire community, we need support from all parties so that the handling of these cases runs smoothly.
I also want to invite all ranks and the entire community to support the resolution of land disputes and conflicts,” he said.
The Director of Conflict Prevention and Handling and Head of the Anti-Land Mafia Task Force of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Arif Rachman explained that all parties had coordinated well in eradicating land mafia in the City and Regency of Bandung.
“Let’s continue to synergize and punish the land mafia who have become a common enemy. Beat, beat, beat, land mafia!” he concluded.
