“All food ingredients in Indonesia are in the Netherlands, so food stalls can be set up in the Netherlands,” he said in front of the training participants.

He also said that the opportunity to open a warteg branch in Suriname was also quite wide open. Because he said, there are many people of Indonesian descent from the island of Java.

“If I have the opportunity to go to Suriname later, I will also explore whether we can set up a warteg in Suriname,” he said in front of the training participants.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian Warteg Trade Association (HiPWIN), Rojikin Manggala, welcomed the talk of warteg going international positively.

He also tells the story of the struggle to change people’s impression of warteg, which previously seemed dirty, to become clean and modern like today.

Therefore, he hopes that the discourse on Warteg going international can be implemented immediately.

So that typical Indonesian home-cooked food can also be known to people abroad.

“Even though this warteg was born from a village, this warteg is proven to have customers from the lower classes to the upper classes,” he said.

On the same occasion, Chairman of PWI Tangerang Regency, Sri Mulyo explained that this training program was part of his party’s work program to improve the quality of human resources.

So that they can open a business using the cooking skills they have practiced,” he said.
