Minister AHY Beats Land Mafia in Grobogan Regency and Semarang City, Saving Potential Losses of IDR 3.41 Trillion.

Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) revealed land crimes committed by the land mafia in Grobogan Regency and Semarang City.

These two land crime cases were revealed in a press conference which took place at the Central Java Regional Police Headquarters (Mapolda) on Monday (15/07/2024).

The land mafia commits crimes by using forged Authentic Deeds and committing fraud and/or embezzlement.

From these two cases, land objects covering an area of ​​826,612 square meters or 82.66 hectares were successfully saved and the potential loss to the state and society was IDR 3.417 trillion.

“Eradicating the land mafia is important because of our enthusiasm to be able to bring justice to land and spatial planning matters in our country.

“At the same time, we want to ensure legal certainty to provide an increasingly competitive and promising investment climate for investors,” said Minister AHY.

In this case, Minister AHY also appreciated the work of the four pillars in eradicating the land mafia, namely the Ministry of ATR/BPN, law enforcement officials, judicial institutions, and regional governments.t

“We want to really increase synergy and collaboration with all stakeholders, especially the police and prosecutors at all levels because we want to eradicate the land mafia from its roots,” he stressed. On this occasion,

Central Java Regional Police Chief, Ahmad Luthfi said that disclosing the land mafia case was tantamount to guaranteeing legal certainty.

Thus increasing investment security and supporting the national economy.

He also appreciated the public who had helped report the land crimes they had experienced.

“This is all thanks to our commitment, strong cooperation with the Central Java Provincial BPN Regional Office as well as the prosecutor’s office and members, so that we can carry out this.

This is a motivation for us, Central Java Regional Police.

“That is in order to participate in enforcing the law and developing the Indonesian economy,” said the Central Java Regional Police Chief.

Chair of the Anti-Land Mafia Task Force, Arif Rachman, who is also the Director of Conflict Prevention and Handling at the Ministry of ATR/BPN.

Reported that the land mafia in Central Java comes from all levels, including intellectual figures.

The losses experienced are not only from the value of the land, but also look at the tax value and potential of land located in industrial areas.

“We also return taxes and even potentially lost taxes. This is the most important thing, if the land object may look like IDR 100 billion, but the taxes are also large.

Not to mention, the most important thing is that based on Presidential Decree Number 60 of 2022, the Grobogan area will become an industrial area.

“This investment would have absorbed thousands of workers, but died because of the land mafia,” explained Arif Rachman.

Present to accompany the Minister of ATR/Head of BPN at this press conference was the Director General of Land Dispute and Conflict Handling, Iljas Tedjo Prijono.
