Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) inaugurated Raptor Motorsport,
A workshop and showroom specifically for off-road and overlanding vehicles in Tangerang, Banten on Saturday (20/07/2024).
This event marks a new step in the development of the special automotive industry in Indonesia.
According to Minister AHY, Raptor Motorsport is not just a workshop but also a showcase for world-class overlanding and 4×4 products.
“Amazing. I am proud and very happy because friends, friends can realize their big dreams,” said Minister AHY when giving his first impression.
He revealed that he had been personally involved in overlanding activities since 2015, when he was still serving as battalion commander.
“I came to Banteng Mas at that time to dress up the car so that it could be ready for tasks in the field, including entering the forest,” recalled Minister AHY.
As the founder of Overlanding Indonesia in 2020, Minister AHY emphasized that this activity is not just a hobby but also has social and environmental value.
“Overlanding Indonesia is not only exploring and enjoying Indonesia’s nature but can also contribute to social and humanitarian causes as well as our nature,” he explained.
“At that time, I went to Pasaman, West Sumatra, literally walking for several hours to penetrate the area where the natural disaster occurred, bringing aid with medicines, food and so on,” continued Minister AHY, telling his story.
Closing his remarks, Minister AHY hopes that Raptor Motorsport can further enliven the Indonesian overlanding, 4×4 and nature exploration community that has existed for so long.
It is hoped that the presence of Raptor Motorsport will encourage the growth of the specialized automotive industry in Indonesia while promoting a lifestyle that respects nature and has a positive social impact.
Present at the event were the Head of the ATR/BPN Regional Office of Banten Province, H. Sudaryanto, SH.MM and the Heads of ART/BPN Offices throughout Banten Province. Among them are H. Joko Susanto, A.Ptnh.M.Si. (trisno).
