Tangerang Regent, Moch. Maesyal Rasyid opened and released the carnival participants in the series of the 34th Tabuh Bedug Festival in 2025 in Teluknaga District, Sunday (08/06/25)
In his remarks, Regent Maesyal Rasyid said that the carnival in the framework of the Tabuh Bedug Festival is not just an annual tradition, which has been well maintained for 34 years, but has become the identity of the Teluknaga community
“An activity that is full of cultural preservation and religious values, togetherness, and the spirit of mutual cooperation.
The drumbeats not only flow with the rhythm of enthusiasm, but echo the values of local wisdom that must continue to be maintained and preserved,” said Regent Maesyal Rasyid
He hopes that the Tabuh Bedug festival can also foster a sense of pride and love for culture as a noble heritage that is full of meaning, especially for the younger generation.
“Through this festival, I hope the younger generation will get to know and love their own regional culture more and become active players in preserving the heritage of their ancestors,” he hoped.
His party will also continue to support the activities of this bedug festival which is full of educational, spiritual, and social values.
The Tangerang Regency Government together with all related parties will also develop this bedug festival to be more lively and able to become an attraction that will ultimately be able to increase the wheels of the community’s economy.
The Tangerang Regency Government will continue to support cultural activities that have educational, spiritual, and social values such as the Tabuh Bedug Festival.
His party also invites all Teluknaga residents to continue to maintain the ties of friendship and togetherness between residents for our common good.
“I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for the steps taken by the sub-district, DPK KNPI, Karang Taruna, and all the committees and community elements who have worked hard to organize this activity.
We also pray that the people of Teluk Naga sub-district remain harmonious, united and healthy,” he said
The Head of the Implementation Committee, Ahmad Lutfi, revealed that the 34th Tabuh Bedug Festival was attended by 19 teams from 12 villages with a total of around 1,000 participants
“There are 19 teams from 12 villages, 100 cars and more than a thousand people participating in the 34th Tabuh Bedug Festival carnival in 2025,” he said.
He hopes that with the support of the regent, deputy regent and the active participation of all components of the Teluk Naga community.
This activity can become one of the leading annual agendas that can improve the wheels of the community’s economy and a means of preserving the diversity of local wisdom in the Teluk Naga District area.
