DBMSDA Tangerang Regency Builds Dozens of Drainages.

In order to overcome the flooding problem that often hits a number of areas, the Tangerang Regency Public Works and Water Resources Agency (DBMSDA), H. Iwan Firmansyah.E, ST. M.Si, is currently building drainage at 28 points.

This project targets areas that are prone to flooding, and is targeted to be completed by the end of July 2025.

A number of areas that are priority for development include Sukaharja, Pasir Gadung, Cibogo Wetan, Kelapa Dua, Kedaung Barat, and the Mpu Tantular area.

All development points are under the coordination of the Drainage Division of the Tangerang Regency DBMSDA as the leading sector for this project.

“The Head of the Drainage Division of the Tangerang Regency DBMSDA, Yawan Duriyawan”, said that the drainage points that were built were the result of community proposals submitted through the sub-districts and districts.

“The location of the development is a community proposal submitted through the sub-district and district offices,” explained Yawan.

He also added that until early July, the development progress had reached around 80 percent and was certain to be completed on schedule.

“Currently, the progress of the drainage development has reached 80 percent and is targeted to be completed by the end of July,” he added.

Furthermore, Yawan invited the community to support this development by not littering, and not closing the drainage channels with concrete because this could hinder the flow of water to the disposal site.

“We hope that the community can support the development that is being carried out, namely by not littering and not closing the drainage with concrete which can hinder the entry of water into the disposal site,” he said.
