Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) officially completed his Doctoral studies after taking the Open Doctoral Examination and was declared to have graduated with Cumlaude predicate on Monday (07/10/2024).

The Open Doctoral Examination which took place in the Garuda Mukti Hall, MERR C Mulyorejo Management Office Building, Airlangga University, Surabaya was led by the Chancellor of Airlangga University, Prof. Dr. Moh. Nasih, SE, MT, Ak.

In this Open Doctoral Examination, Minister AHY delivered his dissertation entitled “Transformational Leadership and Human Resources Orchestration towards Indonesia Emas 2045”, in front of the Chair of the Session, the opponents, guests of honor, academic invitees, and other invitees.

He said that the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045 would not be realized just like that and required hard work from all parties.

“It takes extraordinary hard work together, the key lies on the shoulders of transformational leaders.

The orchestrators of the nation’s human resources because they are the ones who will be able to build synergy and collaboration while breaking down the walls of sectoral egos,” explained Minister AHY in his scientific oration.

After presenting the scientific oration which lasted approximately 30 minutes, Minister AHY defended his dissertation against objections from the eight opponents present.

The opponents in this examination included Prof. Dr. Ir. Mohammad Nuh, DEA; Dr. Drs. Koko Srimulyo, M.Si; Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., M.Si., Ak; Prof. Dr. Rudi Purwono, S.E., M.SE.

Prof. Dr. Bambang Sektiari L, DEA., drh .; and Prof. Djoko Santoso, dr., Ph.D., Sp.PD.K-GH.FINASIM. Acting as Co-Promoter and Promoter, Prof. Dr. Fendy Suhariadi, MT., Psi. and Prof. Badri Munir Sukoco, SE., MBA., Ph.D.

Based on the results of the Open Doctoral Examination graduation meeting, the Chairperson of the Session stated that Minister AHY graduated in a study period of 3.1 years with Cumlaude predicate, aka With Praise.

Minister AHY also became the 88th Doctor from the Human Resource Development Study Program.

“You are declared as a Doctor who graduated from Airlangga University with excellence with morality,” said the Chancellor of Airlangga University, Prof. Dr. Moh. Nasih, SE, MT, Ak.

The Chairperson of the Session stated that Minister AHY graduated with praise.

According to him, this was based on the results of the open doctoral examination graduation meeting and by considering a number of aspects, including achievements that have been achieved in education.

Perseverance, seriousness in working in conducting research; thoroughness and perseverance in studying the literature, the ability to draw useful conclusions.

As well as the ethics and civility of Minister AHY during his education as a Postgraduate Doctoral Program student at Airlangga University.

In addition, no less important is the hard work and enthusiasm of Minister AHY in his efforts to complete his education, as well as the scientific edibility, and usefulness and valuable contribution of Minister AHY’s dissertation to science.

The cum laude grade also takes into account the assessment carried out by the Closed Doctoral Examination Committee which was held on September 12, 2024.

Present as guests of honor, the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono; Head of BPN for the 2005-2012 period, Joyo Winoto; Minister of ATR/Head of BPN for the 2016-2022 period, Sofyan A. Djalil; and the Governor of East Java for the 2019-2024 period.

Khofifah Indar Parawansa who is also the Chairperson of the Central Board of the Airlangga University Alumni Association.
