Cikupa Health Center, Tangerang Regency, held a socialization of the dangers of smoking and a screening of smoking behavior in several schools, Tuesday (05/11).
The activity was held to anticipate and minimize smoking behavior among students.
The Head of Cikupa Health Center, Dono Koesoemoatmodjo, said that smoking behavior is very detrimental to health.
This health loss is not only suffered by adult smokers, but also students when they smoke.
“This socialization and screening will be carried out at SMAN 4 Tangerang Regency, as many as 67 students will be screened, later on a scheduled basis to several schools in the Cikupa area,” he said, Monday (04/11/2024).
According to him, after the screening of smoking behavior, it was discovered that several students had started smoking. The students are advised to take the Smoking Cessation Effort (UBM) counseling.
“For active smokers among students, we recommend counseling at the Cikupa Health Center, with the hope that students can stop smoking and start living healthily without cigarettes,” he said.
