Rian Nopandra has again received the trust and mandate to lead the Banten Province PWI for the 2024-2029 period.
Rian Nopandra or who is familiarly called Opan, was re-elected to lead the PWI in Tanah Jawara through an election contest at the PWI Banten Conference which was held at Puri Retno I, Serang Regency, Wednesday (27/3/2024).
Previously, Opan was known to have led the Banten Province PWI in the 2019-2024 period, and now through the Conference, Opan has been trusted again to lead the PWI in Tanah Jawara for the next five years.
At the conference, it was discovered that 4 candidates were running in the contest for the election of Chair of PWI Banten for the 2024-2029 period. Apart from Opan, there are other names who took part in the contest at the Banten PWI Conference, namely Hari Wibowo or Kibo who is the Deputy Chair of the South Tangerang City PWI.
Then there is Junaedi who is a former PWI Banten administrator, and Sangki Wahyudin who was a former Chairman of PWI Tangerang Regency for 2 terms. During the conference, two candidates.
Namely Junaidi and Sangki Wahyudin, stated that they had withdrawn from the candidacy for Chairman of PWI Banten, leaving only 2 candidates for chairman, namely Opan and Kibo.
The election was attended by 235 participants who were Ordinary PWI Members, Opan finally emerged as the winner by getting 157 votes ahead of Kibo who only got 78 votes.
With these results, Opan will return as Chair of PWI Banten for a second period, marked by the handing over of the PWI banner by the Chair of the Central PWI Organization, Zulmansyah Sekedang.
“Tonight is the starting point, so it is a good start for all of us regarding the sustainability of the program at PWI Banten Province,” said Opan. After the election at the Conference.
Opan hopes that all members can put aside all differences that occurred during the contestation for the election of chairman and unite again for the sustainability and revival of PWI Banten.
“I always remember the words and message from the Chairman of the Central PWI, Hendry Ch Bangun, that PWI is a shared home, it’s time for us to rise together hand in hand.
Regardless of the differences that have occurred, we are still one. We are a big family of the Banten Province PWI,” he said.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the trust and mandate of all members to return to leading PWI Banten. Continue PWI Banten to be better in the future,” he said.
Apart from electing the chairman, the conference was also held to elect the Chairman of the PWI Banten Provincial Honorary Council (DKP).
Where, the election for the Chair of the DKP PWI Banten was attended by 3 candidates, namely Mohamad Hopip, Nana Sutisna Amdan and Sahatma Refindo.
Mohamad Hopip was declared victorious after receiving 152 votes and was appointed Chair of the PWI Banten DKP for the 2024-2029 period.
Meanwhile, Nana Sutisna Amdan only got 21 votes and Sahatma Refindo got 61 votes.
In the same place, the Head of the Central PWI Organization Division, Zulmansyah Sekedang.
expressed his appreciation to all PWI Banten members who had held a democratic party through a conference to re-elect the Chair and Chair of the PWI Banten Provincial Honorary Council (DKP).
“We from the Central PWI give our appreciation to all PWI members of Banten Province who have held this democratic party once every 5 years in a very festive but family atmosphere,” he said.
After the election, Zulmansyah asked the elected Chairman of PWI Banten, Rian Nopandra and the elected Chairman of DKP PWI Banten, Mohamad Hopip to realize his vision and mission.
“Of course I hope that the vision and mission that has been conveyed by the elected Chairman of the PWI.
As well as the vision and mission conveyed by the elected Chairman of the Honorary Council, will be equally realized for the good and revival of the Banten Province PWI,” he said.
Apart from that, Zulmansyah also agreed with what was conveyed by the elected Chairman of PWI Banten, Rian Nopandra.
Where all PWI Banten members can once again be united and united in the PWI big house. “I agree with what the elected Chairman of PWI Banten said that we must be united again.
