Agrarian Reform Reduces Inequality of Land Ownership and Improves Community Welfare.

Coinciding with Earth Day (22/4/2024), the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) held Simultaneous Agrarian Reform Synergy Movement (GSRA) activities throughout Indonesia, monday (22/04)

Centered in Cianjur Regency and Sukabumi Regency, West Java Province, this activity was attended online by all district/city land offices throughout Indonesia with local regional governments and stakeholders present. 

Likewise with Banten Province, 8 (eight) land offices (Kantah) participated in this activity from different locations, Kantah Serang Regency, Lebak Regency, Tangerang City, Cilegon City and South Tangerang City carried out this activity from their respective land offices each.

Then, Tangerang Regency from Parahyangan Agung Bhuwana Sakti Temple, Sodong Village; Padeglang Regency Kantah from the Pandeglang Regency S’Rizki Hall; and Serang City Kantah from the Kalang Anyar Village Office Hall, Taktakan District, Serang City. 

The Board of Administrators of the Banten Province BPN Regional Office on this occasion attended directly the GSRA activities located at the Parahyangan Agung Bhuwana Sakti Temple, Sodong Village, Tangerang Regency. 

“We are committed to working together to realize the ideals of Agrarian Reform in an effort to reduce inequality in land ownership and improve community welfare.” said the Head of the Management and Empowerment Division.

Eko Suharno who was present representing the Head of the Banten Province BPN Regional Office along with other invited guests while following the declaration led by the Director General of Agrarian Management of the ATR/BPN Ministry, Dalu Agung Darmawan from Sukabumi Regency.

In his speech, Dalu said that the Ministry of ATR/BPN has the function of optimizing the use and utilization of land so that it can make a meaningful contribution to people’s welfare.

Meanwhile, one of the Agrarian Reform mechanisms is through conflict resolution, after the conflict is resolved, it continues with Asset Arrangement through Land Redistribution and then Access Arrangement.

Collaborating with local governments, ministries/institutions, business entities in facilitating the community’s productive enterprise business system.

“This business system facilitates access to business development such as the one in Sukabumi Regency by assisting the Cavendish banana farmer group who obtained land from the results of agrarian conflict resolution.” Dalu said. 

Dalu continued the assistance carried out to the marketing stage of the production.

“This makes it more certain that the community will get the income they desire and in this context it is important that Access Arrangement is a solution for how to cultivate land, which is an important instrument in community welfare,” he explained. 

At the activity which was located in Tangerang Regency, Eko Suharno said “The declaration of GSRA is a commitment step in realizing the ideals of Agrarian Reform as an effort to reduce inequality in land ownership and improve community welfare,” he said. 

Apart from GSRA activities, Kantah Tangerang Regency distributed 93 PTSL certificates with details of 10 certificates for Tipar Raya Village, 83 for Sodong Village.

This activity was also attended by the Acting Regent of Tangerang Andi Ony Prihantoro.
