Land certificates are fundamental for the community because they are a form of legal certainty of land rights that are valid in the eyes of the state, Saturday (12/28).
Land certificates that also have economic value need to be maintained by each owner.
If someone loses their land certificate, they must immediately take care of it and reissue it.
“The community must prepare a lost report from the police, then an announcement for one month.
A month after the announcement after there are no complaints from anyone, the process of making a new certificate can be carried out,” explained the Head of the Public Relations Bureau (Humas) of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Harison Mocodompis in his statement, Thursday (12/26/2024).
The community can independently take care of the loss of this certificate through the Land Office (Kantah). In more detail.
Requirements that need to be met by the owner of the lost certificate include an application form that has been filled out and signed by the applicant or his/her attorney on sufficient stamp duty.
Power of Attorney if authorized, a photocopy of the applicant’s identity, such as KTP and KK and Power of Attorney if authorized, which needs to be matched with the original by the counter officer at Kantah.
Photocopy of the Deed of Establishment and Legalization of the Legal Entity that has been matched with the original by the counter officer (for legal entities).
The next document that needs to be prepared is a photocopy of the lost land certificate (if any); A sworn Statement by the rights holder/the person who lost it; and a letter of loss report from the local police.
Harison Mocodompis further explained that the issuance of a replacement certificate due to a lost certificate will take approximately 40 working days.
“The replacement land certificate is newer, but with the same data as the Land Book,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Land Book itself is a copy with the same data as the land certificate.
It is called a land certificate when held by the community or rights holder, while the document stored by the Land Office is called a Land Book.
Harison Mocodompis revealed that the Ministry of ATR/BPN has carried out a digital transformation of land certificates.
Now the community can switch media from analog certificates in the form of books to Electronic Certificates.
This certificate can also still be printed using secure paper.
“The certificate data can also be accessed by the owner from the Sentuh Tanahku application. So don’t worry anymore if there is damage/loss due to disasters.
All data is stored in our database,” said the Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of ATR/BPN.
More complete information regarding the management of lost land certificates can also be obtained by the community online through the Sentuh Tanahku application.
The Touch My Land application can be downloaded, both on Playstore and Appstore from each land owner’s gadget.
