The Electronic Certificate issued by the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) has a different form from the analog land certificate which is made in a sheet like a book with a green cover, Monday (30/12).

Although in digital form, the Electronic Certificate which was launched directly by the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo at the State Palace in December 2023, can be printed in a single sheet format and uses secure paper.

“The current Electronic Certificate format is one sheet in light brown.

It is much safer than a blank in book form. The Electronic Certificate has a barcode and a map on the back showing the location of the land area,” explained the Secretary of the Directorate General of Land Rights Determination and Registration (PHPT), Shamy Ardian on Friday (20/12/2024).

On the same occasion, the Head of the Public Relations Bureau (Humas) of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Harison Mocodompis added that Electronic Certificates can be accessed on land owners’ gadgets through the Sentuh Tanahku application.

The application, which can be downloaded on the Appstore and Playstore, contains information related to the list of land certificate ownership along with its details.

In line with the digitalization of land certificates, the Ministry of ATR/BPN always ensures and improves data security from cybercrime.

Certificates will be safer from potential document forgery because electronic land books are stored as data blocks so that they cannot be changed or manipulated by unauthorized parties.

“It’s not just on a piece of paper that the data can be viewed using the Sentuh Tanahku application.

But the database has indeed stored our data and in terms of its security system it is much safer and cannot be forged,” said Harison Mocodompis.

Therefore, the public is advised to switch media to Electronic Certificates.

Thus, land certificates are safer from potential loss, damage, flooding, fire, and other natural disasters.

To carry out media transfer, the public can come directly to the District/City Land Office according to where the land certificate was issued.
